Hallmark: The MAXILINE VMBF SE is designed with a safety feature that ensures the cover cannot be opened until the vessel has been properly vented. By lifting the safety interlock handle, the vessel is vented and the clamp is unlocked for easy opening. A hand wheel-operated threaded spindle mechanism then opens the clamp, allowing the cover to be lifted smoothly with the aid of a spring-assisted hinge.
This entire process takes less than 30 seconds, significantly faster than the 10 minutes or more required to open a vessel with a bolted closure. Additionally, the vessel cannot be re-pressurized until the QIC-LOCK clamp is fully closed and the safety interlock is engaged, which also closes the vent valve.
